Karen Payton may be the only women on the Bayleys Tauranga country sales team but she is no token female! Karen has a solid background in real estate sales and farm and orchard experience.
Karen married a Manawatu farmer and brought up her two (now adult) boys on the farm near Kimbolton.
Farming was followed by owning and running a camping and outdoor store before the family relocated to the Bay of Plenty where they have lived ever since, her husband Geoff managing a large avocado orchard for many years.
Karen has 16 years real estate experience, twelve of them with Realty Services where she worked for both Eves and Bayleys. She returns to Bayleys after a year out to support her husband’s return to health.
As a member of Bayleys highly successful country team Karen is focusing on farms, orchards and lifestyle across the Bethlehem to Waihi region, where she had lived for 15 years and built numerous new homes on lifestyle blocks. Karen knows her market, has a large network of contacts in the area. Her first property listing on her return to the ‘coal face’ of real estate was a referral. She has built strong relationships over her career with vendors and purchasers impressed by her ‘up front’ manner, high energy approach, and commitment to see the job through to its desired result, often a better one that her vendors anticipate. (Notably the auction which attracted multiple bidders and sold for a million over reserve.)
Among Karen’s many accolades are these:
• “Extremely professional, nothing too much trouble, always gave us feedback.”
• “Negotiation ability to secure an offer so close to our expectation it was a clean sale.”
• “Her knowledge of the marketplace, the area and local statutory requirements impressed us.”
• “Very professional in marketing and negotiations and sold all three properties …”
Karen returns to real estate with batteries fully charged and the full support of Bayleys Tauranga’s country manager and her colleagues. Engage Karen to sell your property, not because she is the only woman on the team, but because she is a very effective salesperson in a very effective team.
