Licensed Real Estate Salesperson (REAA 2008), Member of the REINZ
Mick Sidey has an excellent knowledge of Canterbury with over 20 years’ experience in the rural sector. Mick’s experience combined with the power of the Bayleys brand will make an enviable combination within the rural real estate market.
Mick was bought up on a North Canterbury stud sheep farm, and has continued to live and work in the area until the present day. Upon leaving school, Mick entered the stock and station industry as a highly respected livestock agent for Wrightson’s covering the Hawarden, Amberley and latterly the Cheviot districts for 12 years. He then joined Stapleton Livestock as a director and then following the purchase of this company by Pyne Gould Guinness (PGG), he continued working with PGG for three years.
Mick then entered the farming industry as a partner in a farm in Cheviot. This farm was developed from a dry land holding into an irrigated intense sheep and beef finishing operation which Mick managed for three years. More recently this farm has been converted into a dairying operation, enabling Mick to pursue a career in the real estate industry, an ambition that he has always held.
Mick is married with four children. His interests include fishing, hunting, golf, cricket and rugby. He enjoys being actively involved in the rural community and coach’s junior rugby and cricket at both local and representative levels.
Mick is proud to be working under the Bayleys brand, a company he strove to work for due to its indisputable reputation and highly regarded team.
