There are many reasons why the Bay of Plenty attracts attention from those seeking a quality lifestyle. With its temperate climate, winters along the edge of the Pacific are mild whilst the arrival of summer brings the promise of long golden days. The Aongatete/Katikati area is strategically located an easy commute from Auckland with its international airport, Tauranga City, and the attractions of the central North Island. With Matakana Island stretched along the coastline providing protection from the vagaries of the ocean, waterfront properties here enjoy safe access to the playground of the Tauranga harbour. Whether your preference is for fishing, golfing, paddling, watching the local birdlife, or simply enjoying the peaceful vista as it alters along with the ebb and flow of the tides, you will find abundant reward here.
Basking on expansive, rolling lawns above the harbour in this idyllic setting lies a most desirable home. Concealed down the private way at the very end of Sharp Road, 335B Sharp Road is approached down a delightful avenue of claret ashes. Curving up the driveway and emerging from the tree line, the harbourfront beckons.
Visitors are welcomed by a stately schist-framed portico, providing access to the vaulted entrance and beyond to gracious living spaces and an unrivalled panorama. Every aspect of this home has been designed around its relationship with its environment, the kitchen no exception with a wide view across the water. Be spoilt for choice with multiple zones in which to hang out, to enjoy the changing moods of the harbour and the turning of the seasons.
Nearly two decades ago our vendors created this extraordinary home, a masterpiece in concept and design. As their family matured and flourished, so did the grounds around the home, lovingly planted and nurtured. They have relished life here, but with plans set in stone they are committed to a sale and this very special property is now available for another fortunate family to enjoy.

read moreAlong with many of his fellow Waikato residents David was attracted to the Bay of Plenty in his teens, not just to the sunshine, harbour and beaches, but to the vibrance within Tauranga and Mount Maunganui and the Lifestyle on offer to residents.
Having made the move to Tauranga, the next fifteen years saw David immersed in establishing and operating service stations, followed by a period spent developing a large Kiwifruit orchard in conjunction with a group of business partners, giving David a solid grounding in horticulture here in the Bay.
With an early-established passion for all things property, David was attracted to the rural real estate sector in the early 90’s, and it was here that he truly found his niche.
David’s encyclopaedic knowledge of both the properties and the residents of the Bay is truly impressive. His decades in real estate have provided him the opportunity to become familiar with a vast array of properties near and far. Chances are, if you’ve bought or sold a rural/lifestyle property anywhere between Welcome Bay and Katikati within the past thirty years, then David will be familiar with that property!
With his client-focused mindset, David is a details guy, and with as many deals under his belt as he has, you can be sure that the contracts he writes are absolutely water-tight.
David has enjoyed a lengthy career with Realty Services Limited under both their Eves rural and Bayleys country banners, and since transferring within the group to EVES Bethlehem David has discovered the joys of Residential Sales, his portfolio now boasting plenty of fantastic sales and happy clients in this sector too.
