Amanda Edwards ( Maiden name Knight – is the daughter or Grendon and Kitty Knight, drystock farmers at Pikowai also having dairy and kiwifruit entities, along with being the founders of Pikowai Transport.
Schooled at Otamarakau Primary with later attending Edgecumbe College, Amanda left to pursue a 12 year banking career at Trust Bank and Westpac in Te Puke. She then returned to her grass roots of drystock and dairy farming for another 15 years while raising her 3 children and making the finals of the sharemilker of the year competitiion single handed.
