Testimonials
Melody F.
I wish to congratulate my real estate agent, Mr Alan Elliott from for his outstanding and exceptional service in many ways. I have been trying to sell my house in Remuera on and off for the past 4 years but because it is an older plaster home it had been lumped in with the ‘leaky building’ homes and was difficult to sell. I live six months of the year in New York. My friends told me that plaster homes were finally selling as there was a lot of interest from overseas. Reluctantly I contacted Alan who I had had contact with a year previous and was initially impressed with his marketing program and he was happy to wait until such time as I was ready to pursue the marketing. His professionalism is beyond reproach. Not only did he keep me fully informed on every step of the marketing program by phone and email, but followed through with my suggestion that he advertise in both Mandarin and Cantonese (sold to a Chinese buyer). The biggest downfall I find with agents is that they continually put your house ‘down’ but not once did Alan do this. He continued to stay positive and continued with open homes twice a week to secure a sale. He made suggestions in regards to presentation that I followed through with as I was not aware of the state of the home after the tenants had left. I returned to New Zealand to finalize the sale and met up with Alan and the new owners at the property when I went to clear the letterbox. I found that I had burst my tire on the curb when I arrived and happily Alan in his suit and tie, in the rain with no umbrella changed my tire for me. Now that’s gallantry for you! Obviously his many years in the real estate business give him an advantage but his people skills and passion is certainly still there to help get a result that all parties are satisfied with. A true gem in this industry.

“ . . . . I have just been reviewing my file and closing off the items over the period when my client, Mrs Ewart moved to the Caughey Preston Home. I could not let the opportunity pass by without thanking you personally for the particularly helpful way in which you looked after this person. I have always held the view that our more elderly clients require special care and attention, and when I was advised that she had suddenly decided to proceed with the sale of the house, my own principle concern was to ensure that she was not only well treated, but that every loose end was tied up properly as at that age clients do not generally have the same appreciation. I am happy to advise you that I saw in you not only the same willingness, but that you went the extra distance that is required - that is an exceptional trait. I really do appreciate what you have done for her and thought it was appropriate to let you know . . .”
